This professional development for teaching assistants runs over seven sessions. Teaching assistants will extend their understanding of the importance of personalising learning for all learners through quality questioning, feedback and behaviour management. They will have the opportunity to liaise with other teaching assistants. During Sessions 5 and 6, they will put into practice what they have learnt during the previous sessions and observe good and outstanding practice in each others’ schools. Planned and delivered by Senior Leaders from Fairlawn and Haseltine Primary Schools. Week 1 – General introduction & skills audit Week 2 – Supporting SEN/EAL – including use of IT Week 3 – In school practice Week 4 – Behaviour Week 5 – In school practice Week 6 – Supporting learning through questioning/providing feedback Week 7 – Conclusion/self evaluation. 50% discount for second delegate from same school.
